I'm trying to find out about how to get started with an adult website. I am not talking about having MYSELF on the site, but putting other sites content and earning commission, etc...
Anyone doing this out there? Making money? How did you get started? Etc...

I know a site where you can upload videos and you get points when others watch it. You can cash in the points at a certain value. Yeah i know what your talking about. I too had this idea and i did find a site. Its selling sex toys. They give you a free web site and everything, you dont have to pay for anything. they also take care of shipping and customer sercive, all you have to do is get people to come to your website, and what ever they buy their you get commission. Perhaps a good idea to start is to google it. Do a search on the words, "adult business opportunities" or "adult on-line business opportunities" I am sure that would bring some results. Take care though because some of these sites have been known to carry viruses. A friend of mine once thought he'd look at what opportunities there were and obviously had to go to the sites. Next thing, he called me asking if I could reinstall his Windows system because a virus had wiped out a lot of his essential files. It was beyond my abilities to do that, and he ended up getting a new drive fitted in the repair shop because it would have cost too much to root out the viruses on his drive - there were too many apparently. That'd be a horrible idea. One, free sites are not professional and two, people would be less trusting of a subdomain or directory than a paid domain and hosting. Also, all decent "freebie" hosts have rules against adult sites, sometimes distinctly stated and other times implied. I haven't seen any exceptions yet. [erythisis]
if you really want you can buy them off ebay for really cheap but very hard to make money, if you really want to do and get a website going, you need to ask around plus you need to get picture, it is would be hard too. you cant just pull stuff off other website. so it is very hard to get started but not impossible [adidas7878]

Hey good question. There are many routes to take. You will need some type of catch. Like "Hot Young Teens, Smoking Cigarettes in Plaid Skirts for Creepy Old Men". Once you have conquered that monster. You can become a photographer and pay models per hour for photos and put them on the site. It is also possible to pay for photos. But I would assume you are not looking to invest thousands of dollars into stock porn. LOL There is probably "public domain" porn. I think an easier route would be promoting websites. Maybe make a blog covering the genre of the site. Make several for each fetish. Make splash or tease pages promoting these sites. I know I have left out a lot but I am feeling lazy. before you do this, you need to look VERY closely at the laws surrounding it! you can't just put up an adult website in public domain. You have to have a way of verifying or registering the members who come to your site and knowing they are of age. You also have to keep a DATABASE of all adult images or movies that you have. And with that DATABASE, you need to have paperwork proving the AUTHENTICITY of the images you display AND information of the names, ages and CONSENT of the people IN the images you are posting. This is really serious, a law was recently passed regarding this, and it shut down many sites - some of them weren'teven really porn and they got shut down because they did not have data regarding the names, ages and consent of the folks on their site. How can you think it is not demeaning? Ok, so let's say a beautiful woman decides to be a stripper. She is good at dancing and brings in lots of clientele. She is doing this willingly and she discourages touching, fondling. She is respectful to herself and others. In this scenario I would not find she is demeaning herself or others. Although I would think if she were that good at dancing and that beautiful, she could be a showgirl or spokesmodel. Now what if this same girl were not that good looking and yet her dancing skills are wonderful. I would think the way she would be treated would be less than kind to the fact she is not the glamour girl these type of establishments want. (I spent too many years in Vegas and Reno, I guess.) Now let's take the scenari of a woman who is forced to use her body to work, she hates it but can't find any other work. Her boss is always making a pass and the clientele are always gropeing her. This is a demeaning sitation. She knows she could do something else if only someone would give her a break. How about the overly handsome young man with the great voice that applies for a job only to find he is answering date calls for a members only sex club. His first thoughts are "what would mom think?". I did not think of anything other than strip joints or porn movies and such when I read your discussion and when I answered. I am sure there are many good people working talk centers and in the magazine and movie industry behind the scenes, however, I myself would never encourage any young man or woman to get into that industry. I especially do not like it on the internet, as porn sites and such are constantly popping up when and where they shouldn't be; such as when my young nephew is playing on Nickelodeon.
