i just started a new blog today. i applied for adsense and am waiting for the approval. i still don't get it how adsense work? i have questions like do i have to pay for the ads which will appear in my blog? how exactly do i earn? anyone who has been into google adsense? i need your help. i am serious in making money online. thank you.

Once when adsense approve your application, you will have an account at google and you can get your code from your account there. You will then place the codes onto your blog which adsense will automatically detect what your blog is all about and sent ads to your page. You won't need to pay for the advertising there. but instead google will pay you once when someone click on the ads on your blog. [omega007]

the basic idea in google adsense is this, when a user who browse your blog and click on the ads on your blog, you will get a point for that. you don't need to pay for anything, you just need to apply online to google adsense and wait for their approval. it's much better if you use their own google blogspot. they disapprove the august30 site that i've made (still existing) from angelfire free webpage. and it's even much better if you have your own domain. remember, you get to earn when a user click on an ad on your blog. I use adsense. I have the adsense on 11 of my websites (safelists). You don't have to pay anything to get the adsense code. You earn when someone clicks any of your adsense ads, but they would need to click right through. The pay is extremely low, but it can mount up if you get enough people viewing your blog site, and enough people clicking an sadsense ad. I don't earn much, although I am trying to improve it. Just be careful with adsense that you don't click on the ads yourself, or have a friend do it. They will detect you and eventually boot you. They will wait until you get enough in the account to get paid, and then boot you. Don't know if it's true but heard they boot lots of people just before each earning period. So be wary of click fraud. [Mike07]
Google AdSense is a way to start, but I wouldn't count on it making a lot of money for you, especially at first. You need to have a LOT of visitors to your blog and a LOT of clicks through the ads in order to make any money at all. Be careful not to ever click the ads yourself or have a friend do it. Google will detect that and will terminate your account. Once terminated, it is difficult, if not impossible, to get it reinstated. If you want to view a site that is being advertised on your blog, copy/past the URL and go to it from a new tab. The same for friends "helping" you by clicking; be sure that they don't go nuts with it, because if Google feels that there are excessive clicks from one address, they will terminate you for fraud. I have 2 blogs which I have started and added AdSense to. I'm still trying to drive a decent amount of traffic to them and it's been about 4 months now. Between the 2 I only have $10 in AdSense earnings. I hope that you do better than this! Money is money, so I'm not going to change anything, but I was expecting more in the beginning, also. You just need to copy the adsense code and paste in your blog, that's all. If you are using blogspot, please go to template and add elements, choose html/script to paste the code. [inhairstudio]

Good advice from everyone. I'm not sure if freewebs allows commercial sites... check with their TOS to make sure. I agree with the others who say to get a free blog on blogger.com. Google owns blogger, and is very open to having your adsense ads there. One thing I really like about adsense: once you are approved, you can put the ad codes on any of your sites without having to reapply. It all goes under one master account. I have not made much at adsense, as it is all pay per click, and people really don't click the ads much. I do better on my other affililates, by far. [MsRetro]

I used adsence once on a chat program for a game I created. I think I averaged $20 a month until my server ended up shutting down from someone hacking it and then it becoming impossible to find a new cost effective server to run my chat. The problem is you need people to click on the ads for you to make money. But if there is too much clicking, google will get suspicious and suspend your account. And it's basically impossible to appeal it. So depending on the activity of the site is if you will or will not make alot of money. Also, I think you still have to have $100 before they will send a check and you have to give them your tax info (social security number) so you have to pay taxes on the money you make. [JediSkipdogg]
It's easy. Goolge Adsense is a pay per click advertising system. You have to upload the code in your Blog and for every click that the advertising will receive you eran money. You can do that also on few free blog. You cannot use autosrf or incentive to receive click on your advertising. It's illegal. [lucalucky]

As others mentioned. You just essentially take the code and put it on your site where you want it to be. Goole's system will determine the content on your pages and what ads would be better suited to it and those ones will automatically appear. Be careful though, even if you see an ad that interests you do not click on it and do not ask people to click on the ads. If you do either of the two or google suspects it they will terminate your account and any revenue you generated will be forfeited. [joanana]
