Do You Set Goals

many of us here have talked about what we make on mylot. well the highest i have made in one day is like 50 cents. i never really set goals as to what i want to make each day. i just log in and post and reply. im wondering...do you set goals as to what you want to reach each day or do you just come and write and not worry about how much you are earning?

I really set goals at times but my sinfulness really is affecting my plan of action. And usually, I forget my goal for the day and do other things. So I just come in here and post as much as I can and not worry about the earnings I make. The highest I made before was a dollar and seventy four cents. During those times, I set a goal of at least posting 50 responses a day. Now, I can barely reach that goal anymore due to my day job.happy [learn2earn]

I normally try to set a goal of posting at least 20 posts each time that I log onto Mylot, not that I log into Mylot everyday though. I find it helpful, because my rating goes up, I have just gone past the 500 post mark, and I know that I will get a reasonable return so it makes it worthwhile. If some days I feel like doing more than that, then that's okay, but I rarely do less, and if I am struggling to find some interesting discussions, then I will create some new ones instead. The only goals I set are that like I would like to cash out at the end of the month stuff like that. I think that translates to about 33 and one third scents per day. Sometimes I set larger goals than that for my lot but they never seem to come to fruition, so I am better off setting smaller goals. [snowy22315]

I just recently joined myLot, but I have set a small goal of posting one new topic per day and responding to at least five postings per day. I see some people have goals of 50 postings! That means I need to aim higher. :) Thanks for the motivation! [Reeta02]

I never really set any goals but I make sure that I post at-least 20-30 post per day but I do want to make over 0.60 a day, I ma not sure if that way I have set a goal. I think spending too much time on-line and making lot of posts just depend on what you going to do on that day, if you don't have much to do then you could make lot of posts and be guaranteed a much better earning at the end. but I believe there are lot of people who do set goals to make at-least $1 each day, I use to set a goal on how many post do i need to make per day but now I feel bored to make all the typing each day and at the end my thumbs are painful and yet I get a little [loxion]

I never set goals as how much i want to earn today, i just open my email and read and reply to the discussions. I hardly start discussions myself because i find it hard to come up with topics to write about. [Jody20]

I used to set goals for mylot but I don't anymore. I don't have alot of time for mylot anymore I mylot in the morings while the kids are getting ready for school and once in awhile in the afternoons but with working part time, and the kids taking Swim Lessons, Tae Kwon Doe and allt he other things they are in I dont' have alot of time for mylot. I do post at least one post a day to keep my account active though. [luvstochat]

I set goals everyday for anything I do. If it is site I work for or if I am going to walk a lot for the day I have in my mind what I want to accomplish. Goals are awesome and I like having something to keep me going. Thanks [momtrying2makeit]

Wow, I have never made close to .50 in a day. That is great. I set my goals by posts. My goal is to post aleast ten or more discussions daily. I have been doing my best to keep up with this goal. I need to focus and concentrate on more quality post. I think this will increase my earnings here at mylot. [agrant10]

I don't exactly set goals. It rather becomes a chore when you set goals on mylot just because you want to reach that target. In my opinion, it's afterall, a place to let your thoughts run free, to chat with the people, and the learn about the many random things that are happening around every mylotters' life :) Life is good, don't you think so?? HMmmm..... Now everyone's posts have got me thinking. I have literally only been a member of the site for two days, and as such have only posted less than 25 times. I do not know what the average earnings are, as I cannot seem to see in Mylot help pages o their specific payment details or payment schedules. All I have been able to find is info on setting up a Paypal accout or information that you can change your minimum payment threshold at $10.00, $50.00, or $100.00. My question isn't so much about whether people set earning goals but what is your average daily earning amount. I've also seen in some other postings that Mylot may have recently changed its payment criteria to reward quality over quantity, is this true? I'm just sitting here wondering. Happy Mylotting! Yes sometimes, No sometimes. I usually have a goal set for the month, but not for a day. I have sometimes set for a day too and the max that I have earned is around 80 cents. Although I have no plans to break that record for now, but surely one of these days, it's going down. bournehappy [bournecaindelta]

What will i say.i just join mylot two days ago.and by add 5 discussion and 2 responce i have reached $0.13.so i think that i have to be a serious contributer here i shoud post more. [neelbon]

Hello, chantalgiardina. I usually do not have any goal other than reaching my payout. I have already reached it, so I was only posting to increase the earnings, no specific goal. However, I decided that I need to make four dollars until tomorrow. A hard goal, but I believe I can do it. I'll probably be posting for a long time, until I reach a great number of posts so I know I made it. Having goals might turn myLot life difficult, but if they are achieved then surely our pockets will get happy. Depending on our goals, of course. Respectfully, Munhozmib. [munhozmib]

I do alot of online "earn money" things and had all the positive attitude and all that... till it all crashes due to totally out of my hands issues. It is just to much based not on how much effort or work I put into it, but simply what others want and when they want it or don't want it. I do the best I can with what I got, hope for the best , but plan for the worst. No dissapointments, nothing lost unexpectecly. THere are just to many contributing factors that go into online earnings that are out of my control, that to get excited about it is usually a let down. NOt to say I stopped, I still keep at it and am glad for what I do earn, but goals...only to do the best I can as often as I can nad learn as much as possible. [coffeebreak]

Before I was trying to set daily goals to achieve but as know how to go around and start making my own strategy I only have to write while enjoying my stay in a given day. Although I am also aiming of reaching the minimum amount each month and I have done it in the last four months already but setting up daily goals for this is not really in my priority. As long as I am enjoying what I do, and I am spending less time and still earn some substantial amount to reach payout. Last month I've done it in 3 weeks although there are 4 days in it that I don't have earnings and only spend lesser time comparing to the previous months. [sirrob]

Well, as for goals I am not sure I really do set a certain one of any sort, but since I usually try to end my posts here at a certain number each day, I can honestly say even if time is limited, I try and respond back to at least 10 New discussions a day if I can as well. I have earned over $2 on here on my busier days, but on average I usually earn .30 or so in here as well. I do have a Goal in mind to reach before the end of December, but only time will tell if this is too far fetched as well. [KrauseHome]
