How Do You Earn Money From Your Blog

I really do not know how to make my own blog. I used to have one in my friendster account. But I did not use it very much. How do you make money out of it? I really do not have an idea.

oh but you could do wonders with a blog. you could get paid just for posting in your blog. each post (depending on who you sign up with) could pay you up to say $5 a post. you could also tie up with adbrite or adsense & everytime someone comes into your blog, you get paid if they click on the adverts that are being placed. if you manage to have high traffic, you could demand a higher asking price from advertisers. [regal_aeros]
Oh really? So, what are the things you put in you blog? which site pays you for your blog? [maroseqf]

One good way to earn money from a blog is to have advertisements on it. Then when people click on the ads, you will earn money. You can also earn money by signing up with commission junction or a commission paying web site, and make money when people make purchases through your site. And last but not least, you could make a blog about sites that pay you for discussions and such, like myLot and earn money by referring other users who want to earn money on the internet. I have such a site, if you would like you can click on the web site listed in my profile and get an idea. Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day! [kykidd]
Can you tell pm if you already have earned through your blog? How much was it? [maroseqf]

A blog is very easy to do. All you do is pick the subject you want to talk about and write your heart out. I post on two blogs daily and get paid $1.00 for each 100 word post I make daily. Limit one per day. If you would like to make money blogging, either add me as a friend and PM me or check out my profile here at MyLot. The site is shown at the top right of my page, under my photos. Just click on it to find out more information.happy Happy MyLotting! Char happy [CharRay7]
Okay. Sorry for the delayed response. [maroseqf]

Hello maroseqf! You earn money through the ads displayed in your blog and through the clicks made on them. However, you need to apply as an ad publishers first to an ad provider like adsense, bidvertiser, among others so you can have an ad displayed. Once your site is approved, you will have an html code to be placed in particular areas of your blog. shocked You can earn money from blogging if your blog has a good traffic which means it gets visitors every now and then. Most people think earning by blogging is an easy task but it takes lots of time and effort to build it. happy I also have a monetized blog through adsense and I am earning quite low amount everyday. Just a couple of cents. It's really hard to earn big specially if your content and the blog itself is not so popular. sad [elguiruela]
Oh I see. So, what are your plans on how you are going to increase your earnings with your blog? Is your blog free? [maroseqf]

Hi maroseqf, there are a lot of people asking about this in mylot, you may review some of it by searching in the search box. To make money from your blog, one way is to use adsense. For me, I signed up for Google AdSense, and you'll get paid when someone click on the ads and it is also based on your page impression (traffic). I have earned some money from it. http://paradoxanas.blogspot.com [paradoxanas]
How much have you earned so far? Is there a minimum payout like ptc sites? [maroseqf]

One way to earn money from your blog is by placing ads in it. One great platform where you can start a blog from is Blogger or Blogspot since they are tied-up with Google Adsense. Basically, what's going to happen is, ads will appear on your blog and when a visitor of your blog clicks on the ads, you'll earn revenues from the clicks. [crazyoverpurple]
Thank you. I will check it out after Christmas. [maroseqf]

If you want to earn from blog, then you shall choose blogger at the beginning stage (it is freeto sign up). The reason is blogger allow html and javascript (friendster not allow). HMTL or javascript is necessary for either PPC (such as adsense) or paid to blog (website that pay you to write review on your blog). You can visit my blog which i earn around $200 per month from my blog [lifeplayer]
Yes, I agree with you. Well, some people really want to earn with just a click. But they should not expect to earn that much without any effort. [maroseqf]

Hi there my friend. Most likely others must have already said this to you but what I did is a created a blogger account and added there my Google Adsense ads. Actually I got surprised that I actually earned $11 from it LOL! Their minimum is $100 so it will take a long time before I reach it but I working on it! Merry Christmas my friend! [yuna15]
Goodluck to you my friend! [maroseqf]

Search through Google and you will find a lot of information on how to monetize you blog. [fsound]
Well, I wanted to have a detailed information about it that is why I started this discussion. So, if I have questions, our fellow lotters can help me. Thanks for the response anyway. [maroseqf]

Thks for posting this.. I am half way into creating my blog.. I wanted to create a blog since long and will complete it in a day or two.. I wanted to create it specially to earn from Google adsense.. Lot of people make money from it.. begin with Google adsense to start earning.. [joystick7]
Oh really? I better try to get comfortable with it. But first, I have to create my own blog. [maroseqf]

Erm..I don't think blog on friendster can make money..are you able to insert any ads code like Google Adsense? If you want to make money with blog without any investment, you can register with blogger.com and create a free blog over there, after few days of blogging, then you can register with Google Adsense, place the code there and forget about it. I think you can make more money in this way. =) If you have any problem in blogging, you can let me know and hope i can help too! =) [kidkiller87]
Thanks for the advice! What code should be placed in Google Adsense. Sorry, I am quite confused. [maroseqf]

How many hours would one have to work on their blog per day to make $100-$200 per month? I need to find a legitimate way to earn at least $200 per month over the next few months. [tammytwo]
I do not have any idea. [maroseqf]

I have started a blog recently, and hopefully it helps to make me earn some money. These are the ways I think we can earn from our blogs: 1. You can put ads in your blog, so when your visitors click on the ads, you'll get paid. e.g. Google Adsense, Adbrite, etc. 2. You will get paid by writing reviews for others in your blog, e.g. PayPerPost, ReviewMe. 3. You can write about the ways you make money online, and post your referral links there, then you might get some referrals from your blog. Happy blogging! ^_^ [kaka135]

There's two ways to make money form a blog: problogging and earning money from adsense or other advertisements, the easier of the two. Blogger.com, Wordpress and Type[ad are the top three. Typepad is not free although you can try it out for fore free for 14 days. They have cute and hip blog templates, but you can get the same thing from their sister blog site called Vox.com ehcih is free. Wordpress.com is free with free webhosting, but it will not allow you to sell anything. Wordpress.org has free and beautiful templates but you have to pay for webshosting to support your template. Blogger.com belongs to google and is 100% free template, 100% webhosting and no advertisements. Are you confused yet? This is the business of the internet. Just warning you now. There are other free places where you can set up a blog with free webhosting, but in order to do that, these sites have to put advertisements, like Google Adsense, on your particular account. Why? Otherwise, they cannot afford it unless you upgrade to their paid option, if they offer one at all. That's bad for you've if you signed up for adsense already because now you can't put the ads with your account link on there. People will be clicking the free host's ads. Bummer. My recommendation for you so that you get your feet wet is to join up with blogger.com. They are easy, easy, easy to use and you don't have to worry about typing in html code or bbcode. You just cut and paste it into their html gadget block that's in the layout section. Plus you can drag it around where you want it to go so that it shows up how you like on google. Then sign up for google Adsense. You cannot do this if you haven't decided on a blog name yet. So get a blog first no matter what it is. That's going to depend on your topic (niche). If you want to make money from your blog with adsense, then everything you talk about will have to relate to the topic of your blog. If it's about making money online, then talk about that. If it's about movies, make post about movies. Flowers with flowers. Shopping with shopping etc. Don't post random crap that has nothing to do with anything. It might be amusing to the reader but after a while they will leave. No readers, no clicks. Problogging is serious business. You are using your blog to sell things e.g. affiliate products from your blog and your blog posts provide the content readers are looking for to stay on your site. If you own a private greeting card business and you want to get people to buy from your site, your blog is an excellent way to have fans come to check out what you're up to. Suppose you post unique and original content that has to do with how you hate those boring traditional greeting cards that say: Give the gift of life to life itself, and in your experience those have been the worst sellers in your greeting card experience. Plus, they cost you more money to get rid of than make. That's unique original content that people like, and you sound like an expert. So they are more likely to buy from you and they thank you for the knowledge. If you're planning to do that serious kind of blogging, it's worth investing in a webhosting service, getting a domain name, etc. If you want to do some casual blogging and earn a passive income from adsense, I highly recommend you check out the site http://www.askjoelcomm.com. This guy is the king of adsense. With adsense there two things that you never, ever do or Google will suspend your account immediately: (1) Click on your own adsense ads. Don't think that Google can't figure out your IP address an pinpoint where in the world you are because they can. (2) Don't ask other people to click on your ads because Google's algorithm can detect click fraud immediately. This is a very smart search engine. To make a lot of money with adsense and blogging, you're going to have to have more than one blog, a blog empire as it's called, or have really engaging content on your site. More than anything it's the words ad your content that keep people reading, not all the bells and whistles and the super pretty graphics. I mean, make your blog attractive and easy to read. Don't make the color scheme an eyesore, but make sure that your content is worth reading, it's useful to your readers and it's something you like talking about. According to Google Adsense's TOS (terms of service), you are not allow to to tell people what your c through rate is of the ads you're displaying, but you can tell them how much you made. You can check how much you'll be earning based on your niche topic's keywords by checking it on Google Keyword Tool. Click the drop down menu to see the estimated EPC (earnings per click). The amount of money you see is based on Google Adwords, the flipside of adsense. People on the net are paying google per click to get on the front page of google. You see those ads running along the top and the side of google's search engine when you type in the word: movies. People are paying money to advertise their business or someone else's business. You can do this, too, if you ever wanted to get into sales, one of which is affiliate marketing, but that's a different ball of wax all together. Because of people paying to advertise on Google, blogger.com doesn't come with ads, but you can stick those ads on their with your account at google. Joel Comm rakes in like five-figures a month. Of course, he's been doing it a long time. [gowriter]
