I keep reading about opportunities of earning through Google Adsense. The other day I read about someone who got paid through Adsense . Their minimum payout being 100 dollars, that is a huge amount to earn even in a year. My own blog is affiliate to adsense and the earning is at best a few cents a month. The maximum I have earned so far in a month is 2.34 dollars a month. So one can imagine how many years I am going to take to make it to the minimum payout amount..
Friends just out of curiosity I would like to know if any of you are earning decently well from Google adsense? If so, what is the secret? can you plz share it here with all of us?

it's all about content and page rank. If you use the right keywords you can drive traffic to your site which will increase your page rank. The more visitors to your site the higher the possibility that someone will click on one of the adsense ads. I make about 30-40 per month on adsense ads on my site. [TrvlArrngr]

i have made some where around 2.3$ last month and this month it is just 12 cents , and i think i have improve my blog a lot so that i can make more from adsense ,i have seen many people who can make the minimum every month , i need to make at least a min number at least in 2 months from my research i have found that the main reason for this is the seo and keywords , that are the reason for the earnings , we can make nearly 10$ just for the single click , but the keywords must be quite right , i am not getting better keywords [thedreamer09]
Hi thedreamer , the same case here...i am not able to find the right key words, may be we need to take lessons or something on that LOL...i too have heard of people making at least 100 dollars each month. Maybe you can advertise your blog at the ptc site or other advertise site.Or ask your friend advertise the google adsense ads. [hanah87]

I have earned $9.02. I earned $7.97 in the first two months I used blogger.com, but then I abandoned my blog for about six months. I've only earned about a dollar since returning a few months ago, but I am really starting to see my traffic pick up and the adsense earnings always follow... eventually... Just don't give up hope, your earnings WILL pick up, you won't be earning two dollars a month forever. Out of curiosity, what's your blog about? I'm looking to do link exchanges (I post the link to your blog on my blog, yuo do vice versa) on blogs with related content, but I am having a hard time finding people with blogs with related content. I have 3 blogs: 1 is personal and about teenage pregnancy and adoption, and I will soon be using it to gather stories from teenagers/ adopted children/ adoptive mothers in order to self-publish resource books for people affected by adoption. 2 is a fashion and lifestyle blog, and 3 is a politcal/ social issues blog. I don't think there really is a magic secret. I think three things are important: Getting a high quantity of traffic, getting high quality of traffic (those visitors who will click ads), and getting visitors that like your blog so much that they will forward the link to a friend. To get these things, of course qaulity of the blog is important, as is updating often. Also you want to get your link out there, and get plenty of backlinks. I'd suggest joining every social networking site you can think of (twitter, plurk, myspace, facebook, etc), and putting your link on your profile, and updating regularly with your link. well my friend i have two sites and a blog which shows google adsense ads and i already had a payout of 100 dollars without any problem. i was begining to worry about how to cash the cheque which they have send as it may have been in dollars. but then they have send me the same in india rupees which was great and i was so happy with that. and already now i have reached 40 dollars and i hope i will get a payout by the start of the next year. Hello Kiran, I'm not an expert in Adsense and I think I do quite alright in Adsense. I quite like the idea of the ads and so far, I notice the ads are getting more interesting. However, I do agree that the $100 payout is quite huge. I love to update my blog for the fun of it and just see how it fares in terms of traffic and all. I think it's got something to do with keywords. Keeping close to the content and use keywords that are in demand. Reading some books on this is quite good. I think the contents of a blog are important to attract the different set of readers or bloggers. If you are in niche blog, make it informative, fun and just be yourself in composing the posts. I have had the same issue. I have four blogs and a resource directory, but can't quite seem to get the earnings. A few days ago I started using AdSense keyword generator, so I'm hoping that by putting the right keywords in the blogs, I will get more traffic and better rankings. It's too soon to tell. If anyone is interested in a link exchange, I have blog about Down Syndrome, one about child abuse, one about living organ donation, and one called about living better on less money (includes online earnings opps). When I first started with AdSense it was really hard to earn any money. It took more than a year to make the 1st $100. The most content I wrote, however, the more the pennies added up to dollars. At this point, I've written more than 4,000 posts and have made the $100 payout (and usually well above it) every month for the last two years. My blogs still don't earn a whole lot. Most of my AdSense income comes from other writing sites that use AdSense. Some give the writer 100% of the AdSense earnings and others give 50%, but it's worth it to me because the sites have much higher traffic (and thus page rank) than my own blogs. Trying to get your traffic and page rank up takes a lot of time and effort. What I decided was that I'd rather spend my time writing than trying to improve my page rank! Hope that helps. [Idlewild]

Hi Kiran ... i had a site on cartoons some time back... i had the google adsense running on my site... i had all cartoon stuff on my page... 1st month i made 3$... the 2nd too was 3 n the next was 1$... i have a friend who had a masala site... u know the hot bolly babes kinds... u know wat was the least he earned in a month... 48$... lolz... well... m not askin u to host such stuff... just figure wat wat ppl like... n host accordingly... When I actively targeted earning via adsense on my sites I was able to make the minimum payout 2 or 3 times a year. But it does take some work to achieve this and it is an going job to keep a steady flow of money coming in through adsense. The first thing which will effect how much you can make is what you write about on your blog. For example if you feature information on financial products on your blog the adsense adverts will generate more income than if say you review movies or music. The next thing is the actual position of your adverts. If they appear at the bottom of your pages then anyone who comes to your blog and then clears off immediately won't see them. By putting them near the top of your pages you stand a better chance of getting them clicked on. Finally there is the simple maths of the more people you get to visit your blog the more chance you have of getting your ads clicked. So if you want to earn reasonable money through adsense you need to work at getting a consistent amount of traffic. The best way to do this is to have high quality/original content on your blog which people can discover via searching on the likes of Google. But you can also gain traffic by gaining back links which are basically links back to your blog from other sites. This can be done by leaving relevant comments on other blogs and also in forums. All of this basically comes under a term called SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and there is plenty of information both on myLot and the web generally which will talk you through how to go about optimizing your blog for best results. Well to be honest i have never been able to make even a single dollar out of all ive done here at net...No matter which ever site i have used i have never been able to earn a great deal and google adsense is no exception.i once earned ten dollars here in mylot but lost them in a deposit on a website..So i don't have much experience regarding however i have heard that some people really earn a great deal from google adsense but as far as i think they must be professionals and as far as a student like me is concerned ill probably never be able to earn anything from it as if i earn one dollar a month then i require at least one hundred moths and that is a long long period of time.. I have also heard about google adsense programme but I have not registered with them till now. I think that I will join soon . The minimum payout level is really someting to think as it will take long time to reach there. But one thing is sure that google is the most trusted site & they will make the payment in time... I think it is mandatory for a blog to be active for 6 months or so. After that , how do you get hold of the ads there ? I have no idea. You please tell me if you know. [kalav56]

try to optimize your ads, use top keywords in your content...in short apply SEO on your blog. Actually, I just started optimizing my blog w/ Adsense last week of May 2009 and I applied the lessons that I've learned from reading SEO E-books. Before I used to get $0.00 / day but now it increased to $0.23 then $0.50 and now $0.80. My goal is to reach $1 per day, some said that $1 per day is really good for beginners in SEO. [pinkista]

I have seen this advertised and I wondered if it is legit. I try to stay away from anything that has a payout minimum of more than $25.00 because it just seems to take so long to reach them.
