I would first invest in something or start something that would always have money coming in to me.I would then buy a modest home and a modest car. A million dollars don't last forever if you spend it foolishly. [artguy]
I agree with you, it won't last if spent foolishly. I ahve watched people come into big money and just spend it and then months after they are struggling to pay rent [gtdonna]

Well, a bond is basicily loaning the government money. In return for loaning them the money they will pay you back in a certain amount of years (5, 10, 20, 50, etc.) with interest. I'm not sure if Italy has it. Do you know? A CD (Certificate of Deposit) is where you put a minimum amount (usually $500) into a bank account for a certain amount of years, and like a bond, the bank pays interest on the CD and you get that back when your yearly period is up. You can also add money to it at any time although you cannot take it out. [brianhanson37]
