I honestly don't see me ever retiring because everything is so expensive these days and it will get worse for us. We will not get enough money to live on so we will have to keep working. [stephcjh]

It's hard to say. It depends on. I think if I have enough money and I don't have to worry about our lives. Then I will retire and enjoy life:) [youless]

i think i want to retire at full terms. its 58 years in my current company. in most of the SW companies in my country its so. I may continue another 2-3 years if i am asked to. [subha12]

Hi Louie, I plan to retire with 60 years old, thats in 14 years from now. Most people in my age group will have to work till they are around 65-67 years old due to changes in the laws here in Germany. But I am commuting 4 hours in the morning, then work 6 hours at the office and commute the same old 4 hours back home. Now with 46 years young I dont mind too much but I think this could change as I get older. So we try to save up some more cash, so I can stop stressing me out with this lifestyle where you are half the day on the road and I want to bridge the around 6 or 7 years from the magic 60 to retirement with the savings I have made so far. I think i will work for max another 5-7years or so. Not more than that. After that, i am definitely going to earn money - may be sitting back at home or something. I still hav'nt thought of that. But, I am sure, i will not be working for too long :) How about u? Share ur opinion/plans too. [rashmigs]

It's really hard to say, I think I wish to save up a lot during I am young and see when I would be able to retire. Actually I want to retire at around 40 something and then start going to different places but I am not really sure if the money would be enough to sustain my "retired" life *smiles*. I retired 6 years ago. Why? Because I could. [Transdisc]

I am disabled so I will never retire in the real sense of the word but my husband who is 64 this year and still working says he will never retire. I think that the days when people looked forward to retirement are long gone! [kimlot]

I will probably never retire, as I will not be able to afford to, and because when you stop working, you die. I want to be a lifelong learner, and a lifelong earner. I would like to slow down in about ten years. [GardenGerty]

He Louie, I'm 57 years old and qualify for full retirement right now. I am not going to retire until I'm 62 for several reasons. First and foremost I owe too much at the present time. My wife and I purcased new vehicles in 2005 and we won't have them paid for until 2010. I also have one more major purchase I want to make before I retire and get it paid for and that is a 5th wheel camper. The second reason is that 62 is when my wife can retire. I believe if I went home now I would have to get another job out of self defense, man she would be jealous! Thirdly, I really enjoy what I am doing now and it isn't very physically demanding so I believe I can do it for a few more years. January 2013 is my target for retirement! [rodney850]

I probably never will be able to retire at the rate I'm going. 34 years old with low income and no savings. I don't know how we are expected to save money when every dime goes for food, rent, clothing, and other needs. [Jabsfreelanceworld]

I woul like to retire in 4 years on my 40th birthday. I would like to be able to work from home on my soon to be (with fingers crossed) my own online business. I want to work for my self just a hour or two a day and just let the money come in with very little effort from me [34momma]

i would retire when i am 60 yrs,but retiring doesn't necessarily mean stop earning money.60 yrs is a time you will want to relax now with your wife and try to take care of your health. [markyboi]
