Many internet users think that no one can make money on internet. Why do they have this negative attitude towards making money online?
I think it is mainly because there are too many scam sites out there. People got tired of these scammers and started having this negative views about making money on internet.
Another group of people think that internet home business is a cheap way of making money. Well, I really don't think so.
I always respect those who are making money on internet. It is a profession that needs a lot of intelligence, skills, determination and perseverance.
Some people think that this is for those who can't make money offline(I mean through a regular job)
I always think that those who make money online are very smart. I respect them a lot. It can be used as a full time business as well if you can make good money out of this. Why not?

In my opinion, vijayanths, I think the reason that many users have a negative attitude is because we live in an on-demand, "fast food" kind of society. Everything is apparently supposed to be "quick" and "now" and there is a huge sense of entitlement amongst people. Some see that there are people making decent money online and they believe that everyone should automatically be entitled to do the same. That is simply untrue. Earning money online, just as earning money offline, requires skills and abilities, time and effort. People who are unwilling to learn and grow and who expect to get rich quick will not be successful and they will attribute everything to being "a scam." One cannot participate in any venture for a day, a few days, a week or even a month and expect to receive a huge profit or return. It's unrealistic. If people adopt a clear and methodical approach, do their research and acquire what they can in terms of knowledge and skills, then they may stand a much greater chance of being successful. Just because a person has an internet connection does not mean they are instantly qualified to make money online. It is unfair and unjustified for someone to deem certain business ventures "scams" when they have made no real effort whatsoever and still expect money in return. [thinkingoutloud]

I can understand why people wouldn't believe it. I didn't believe it at first, either, when I heard you could do surveys and stuff online to make money! It sounded WAY too good to be true! Now that I have more experience, I know that it takes a lot of time, and commitment, but I also know of many sites that are legitimate and that pay you. It's a good deal, if you ask me. Sometimes the hard part of it all is convincing others to join - because it seems like earning online becomes an addiction after a while; and you kind of stay in your own bubble - from what I can tell. For example, all of us online-earners use our own jargon! (GPT/PTC/PTP/etc) that outsiders wouldn't understand. It's like we're all part of some underground community or something, that people are reluctant to join. lol [maezee]
Yes, I agree with you that we are a different community altogether. I always admire people who could make money online. I consider this as a real profession that needs a lot of hard work, skills, intelligence and perseverance. Above all it does not need any investment. [vijayanths]
Hi, I don't know how to make money online, and in China it's hard to make money online, you can have a online shop to make money online, but this is hard to make money, so in my mind I don't think people can earn a lot of money from the internet. I differ from you, kindy. One can earn unlimited income on internet and it can't happen over night. It will take a lot of time and hard work. Of course ceratin earning programs are restricted to china users. [vijayanths]
Some people think negatively because they have already experience being scam a lot of times or they haven't experience having an income through online. But to those who are successful enough with this business, they can say it the other way around that nothing is impossible...But in order to earn through online, we really need to have a lot of hard work and patience in order to earn...happy [joannaleed]

I'm not old enough to get a full time job, so I have devoted a lot of time to finding legitimate online sites where you can make money. While it is impossible to make a career out of mylot and survey type sites, it can be a good way to make some extra cash. I did the surveys for a while, but they were way too time consuming and boring, and they were available very erratically. I really like mylot because the amount of money you make is up to you and how much effort you are willing to put into it. The only thing is I wish I could get referrals. I know that none of my friends are willing to do it. Does anybody have any ideas on how to convince people to sign up so you can refer them, or how to refer people you don't really know? i will not say much about making money full time on the internet, i don't have any sort of experience with that though i would be interested to find out how much one can earn through earning online, but hey making online money is for real, yeah i have to agree with you vijay some people do think completely against it, there might be several reasons that convince them it isn't a good idea earning online but it is not that way, my primary purpose here isn't earning so i could not say much here, i can only say we do get paid online and it works probably if i work harder i could be very well paid drool lol. I got interested in online money making one year ago, and in the beginning I joined a lot of different sites, I thought that I was going to make a lot of money that way lol but I ended up wasting a lot of time instead. After a while I found some reliable sites, and some of them have paid me several times, but I understand why some people give up or get disappointed, because it is annoying to waste your time on the scam sites. I know from experience that it is possible to earn money online, but it takes time and research. I have learned from the mistakes I made in the beginning, today I am much more critical than I was in the beginning, and I join few new sites instead of joining as many sites as possible... As of now my knowledge about making money online is it really possible to happen. It can happen if you want to, like you are very hardworking and you believe in yourself. Earning online is not always a sure thing, and you can never earned as much as you earned offline, there is a big value difference from it. If you really want an extra money to earn being online is a good choice plus hardwork. But if you are more on expectations like you are comparing on offline earning then nothing will happen to you. The truth about earning online is it never equals to your offline job so you don't have to expect much. You have to be hardworking and very very patient. Never estimate your earnings day by day because you will get disappointed, and when you get disappointed you will easily give up. I have currently been looking for some online jobs, however I think that a lot of the problem with finding an online job is you can never really be sure which ones are scams? If anyone has any advice about that it would be greatly appreciated. I am a younger person who is trying to earn some extra cash while putting myself through school. Some of my observations: 1) What worked for you doesn't works for me. 2) Some methods are saturated. 3) If you want to earn money by ducking others, you won't earn it for long time. 4) Lack of persistence and efforts 5) Lack of startup money and social knowledge 6) lack of skills and not admitting it. there are many other reasons but these are my observation as of now. The internet has always been considered a one touch button for learning and connecting to the outside world in split seconds. It takes some computer savvy people to crack the nutshell in order to make it big in online earning. Relying on those PTCs to earn money is a waste of time as their payments are only chicken feeds and can't even pay up the internet subscription. What is worse is there are too many scam sites that fold up overnight once they have earned enough from unsuspecting clickers. Unlike the real world earning online is too risky and we are not protected by any cyber law of any kind. People do not want to take any more risk by investing in online as there are too many rubbish floating around in the cyber world which are too good to be true. [zandi458]

Yes, I agree with you. All this scams are awful, I tried to make money online so many times but nothing happen i just lose my time. I spend so much time in internet but nothing again. I know why people do not believe that is possible to make money online. You have to have iron nerves, you have to be patient and creative. I think that those who do not scam others but make genuine money online are great people as well. Whether it's part time or full time, only a little money or $100.00 a month, I think it's great. People earn and can use that money for other things, whether it be wants, needs, or charity! Hi vijay I too am in the opinion that we can't make more money online. If we work in the office, even if we take 10 days leave, we will get our full salary. Besides, we get coffee, lunch time, bonus and even in some offices they give uniform and shoes ( I am talking about my DH factory) to the CMD to the low level category. They will pay for medical bill, LTC etc. If we want to earn through online, there is no leave of any kind, only work, always, to earn. That too very little compared with the outside work. Besides, though the working hours in the office is 8 hours, hardly anybody will work for the entire time, they will take their own time in the canteen, chit chatting and even doing their personal work in the office computer and in the office hours.But in the online earning, all the time we have to concentrate on our work, to get the work finished so that we can get some money. I differ from you in this matter vathsala. Do you know the top blogger of India is making a few lakh of rupees per month. blogging is just one of the ways of making money online. There are hundreds and even more ways of making money on internet. It is like a ocean. There are pearls and other precious things in it.
