Would You Rather Work For A Business, Or Be The Business :p

Would you rather work for the business, or run your own business? Why? :p

I'd rather run my own business. That way if I was sick I wouldn't have to work and worry about getting a doctors statement. If there was a person that wasn't doing their part I could fire them instead of putting up with their laziness. [queenofarms]
haha oh yes but before you go off being sick and deciding not to work that day, you'll have to make sure you'll actually be able to skip, otherwise you might end up going broke! [LouieWpHs04]

I would much rather be the business adn be the motivator behind all of my employees. [Ethanuel]
Aha. Sound's kind of like me. [LouieWpHs04]

I've always had idead for businesses I want to start, but I prefer "free range" jobs, like modeling, music and acting gigs. xD [megumiart]
Freelancing type of jobs are hard to come by, but if you have a good way of getting them, and they pay well it's a great way to earn some extra cash. Not a good idea to try to live off of them, but yeah. [LouieWpHs04]

I would rather be the business but I have tried both ways and it is easier for me just to work from home for others and for myself. [stephcjh]
Yes. It sounds like you do have a plan there. I have worked two and three jobs for a long time and so very greatful I do not have to do that anymore, however I still have to earn to help us out here. My daughter is 16 now, but when she gets older and moves away, I still have my online jobs to do. There is no need for me to go outside the home to work any longer right now. I may go back to school and learn something though, not sure. I have so much to do around the home and online, I stay totally busy about 17 hours out of my day. Spring and summer is coming also and I want to be able to spend time with my daughter and my husband. We like to swim and ride our 4 wheelers and cut the grass and do yard work. We are also going to work on putting roofs on our Decks this summer also. We have a full schedule right now. [stephcjh]

id rather run my own buisness, because more money comes to me and only me , no cutting pay checks have my own hours and have my own days off , all me all the time [Gesusdid]
yes , versus working for someone else who wants to nag and bicker with out early in the morning about things , basicaly attending to them , doing work for them , no way shape or form is it helping you or benefiting you working for them ..then if you dont do the work just they make you do it over again lol [Gesusdid]

Hmmmmmm, well running a business takes a lot of work and can be very stressful, so I would say help run the business. My boyfriends brother has his own business and he always seems stressed or doesn't have time to do anything but work, eat and sleep, so I don't know if I could handle that, a partnership usually helps that out, but then their are all those legal issues. Right now I work for his brother when we go out there, since he is in the middle of no where, but I think soon I will be moving out there and helping my bf and his brother with that business as well as helping my bf with his small ebay business. I would rather them handle all the financial stuff and I could just help them with other stuff. But if I had my own business then I would want to run it, but I think my business would be a small local one, I would want to keep it simple. Sorry if I confused you, I tend to confuse myself, lol. So basically if I could be in charge and it was my own idea then I would run it but if my bf came up with the idea and wanted to run it then I would just help him with everything. [SweetTrix]
Well i'm not sure where all the pressure n' stuff is coming from. I mean, if he's covering his bills and his business is about that old, there doesn't seem like he should be worrying about much, or being too stressed. Yeah, spending a little bit is ok, but going overboard.. not so much! I suppose as long as he's still managing his bills and fitting in all this other stuff it's ok! Like you said, not your money/business, it's his. :P Sound's like an interesting business! Well g'luck to him, and g'luck to you n' your boyfriend in future success! =D [LouieWpHs04]

I much prefer working for myself, LouieWpHs04. While there is some pressure to make a living and be wholly dependant on myself, it is worth it to me to not have the stress and BS of working for someone else. It is nice to know that any mistakes are mine, and I don't have to worry about anyone blaming me -- it's me. My mistake. So what? Move on. I enjoy working for myself. [Transdisc]
What does your business or whatever you have do? [LouieWpHs04]

of course i am prefer to run my own business...there is a big difference being an employee compare to have your business...you have a freedom of all things because you are the owner specially you own your time...no can force you to do something beyond you capacities...your income is not fixed unlike an employee...but the success of your business depends on you...you have an authority to do all your best to become successful. [julyteen]

I have always worked for businesses and I dont like that too much. I would prefer to run my own business as its much more rewarding when you work for yourself and not for some airhead boss who tells you what to do and when to do it. But sadly I never had a good idea for building up a business of my own. Plus here in Germany you need a lot of knowledge about economics, bookkeeping and such, when you want to open a business and I am not good at this at all. [book1962]

I do both. I definitely enjoy the power and flexibility of owning my own business. That is for sure. You can do what you want with it. Take off if you need to. But I have the real job too. It isn't so flexible. [just2crazygirlz]

Of course, have my own business. So that I'll be the boss. Wouldn't it be fun if you're the one who's giving out orders than the one who's following them? ^_^ And besides, being an employee would mean that you have a limited income every month, depending on how much the employer would pay you. Compared to owning your own business, it is now up to you how much you'd earn. It is now up to your skills how you can improve your business so that it would earn more. [swirlz]

I just don't have enough business savvy to own my own business. So, I would rather work for a business. I have thought of businesses that I would like to start but, I just feel too afraid to fail due to a lack of business savvy. [cortjo73]

Hello LouieWpHs04 :) I like having my own business. Because it makes me own my time. It allows me variety in what I do. Working for somebody else's is boring for me because there, I get to do the same thing everyday.. :) [christineli]

I will rather work for a business. i do not have enough money to start a business. also i do not want to take a lot of risk to start a business myself.I am happy as a salaried person. [subha12]
