Youtube Is Going To Start Paying Like Mylot

I wonder how much they are going to pay their video posters.. I heard on CNN that YouTube is going to start paying those who upload videos:)

Wow...some people will get rich! [knowitallgurl]
Somehow I think that they will have to have what YouTube calls a "director account" ..I have been looking around since I started this ..I think some will get rich... There are so many ways to make money on the net aren't there? [littlefranciscan]

I am quite happy with MyLot. When you are on a good thing, stick to it. [rolcam]
when I am happy with mylot but I have some other irons in the fire, if you know what I mean. [marciascott]

wow, that's interesting. I haven't attempting uploading videos yet. I have watched plenty of them though. Some are really creative and funny. I bet people will definitely be making money if they start paying. [trouble4u2avoid]
I wont be taking advantage of youtube..since I am not into videos or images too much..takes too much time..:) [littlefranciscan]

that's good to know, but i don't know anything about uploading I had my computer friend to upload my picture on here. [marciascott]
I wont be doing anything on youtube..as I dont care to mess around at great length trying to figure how to get images off my camera and on to the computer..but some may like that;)+| [littlefranciscan]

Wew.... I think that will be unfair Many people upload illegal contain. Maybe youtube wrote DO NOT POST ILLEGAL CONTENT. but fact? Many people upload FULL eps of some series (The mostly that I download is anime). I never watch at youtube. Everytime I want to watch somehing, I must DL it first. my connection is too weak for streaming. I upload some video at my sister youtube account at http://youtube.com/user/shireishou But I never get money. I'm pass from youtube if they do that. It will be make people upload illegal content more to get money. I also upload some illegal content due to some request. BUt not all eps. Only capturing or I cut most sceene. I like to upload my own video creation lately. But its hard for me to upload somethin there. T_____T I dont interesting to earn money from youtube. I only upload video if I made new video or ppl request me to upload some video that not avaliable in their country and I have it [hassei_takano]
Nice long exposition here..I really like when people tell the truth..:)+ [littlefranciscan]

wow that is very interesting, i go there once in a while have never downloaded there though. [beckyomg1]
I have never went to youtube..but then again..I don't know how to download or upload video.:)+ [littlefranciscan]

I heard this too. I can't wait until it starts. There will be a lot of people making videos like crazy. My son belongs to Bopsta and has some great videos there, but I keep trying to get him to put them on youtube. He says the download is slower and he doesn't like the quality. I bet when they start paying he will change his mind. [wmg2006]
I think it may change your son's mind knowing there is a little incentive with the offer..Even those who say they don't care either way , will be running for the money:)+ [littlefranciscan]

hmmmmm Its unfair if people still upload illegal content. I like to DL AMV creation from youtube. BUt if they dont own the video and upload it and they get money. thats unfair [shireishou]
Well free speech opens up a lot of avenues..and what we like or dislike might be a totally different thing for someone else. [littlefranciscan]

can any body tell me from which date they are going to start paying money to uploaders ? [faisal86]
If I hear more of the actual start date I will let you know..thanks for the request..+ [littlefranciscan]

They are going to pay through advertising, they are going to have ads next to the videos (like google adsense) and those videos that have the most views are going to get paid more because the adverts are going to be shown to a wider audience. [Wolfsbayne]
they are going to do what mylot does..advertise ready viewers..:)+ [littlefranciscan]

That's great. Looks like a lot of people are going to be rich. Is it the same as mylot or different? [raveena]
I don't know ..I am not familiar with youtube..so hopefully someone can answer ths..:)+ [littlefranciscan]

I also heard about this the other day, and I think that it is a great idea! I know of some people who have posted original content on that site, and i would love to see them recieve some money for their efforts. I wonder if this will only apply to new uploads? If so, I hope that my friends can remove and then reupload their wonderful videos, because they have put a lot of work into them and i'm sure that they could gain some money from what they've done. I personally don't have any original content to upload yet, since I doubt that AMV's count, since they use clips from commerical Anime shows.. but maybe one day! ^_^ I really do wonder what the pay rate will be like? ^_^ [shywolf]
I don't know too much about it ..but am hoping someone who sees the topic and knows more on it can jump in and share what they know of it;)+ [littlefranciscan]

wow rthats great. I was just looking for websites that pay for sites like thesse. thanx for the tip [queenajasmina]

On CNN i don't know about it .how they pay to their user what would be the criteria of it ? [pekachugirl]
I really don't know how they would go about paying their users..this topic is old..and I have yet to hear if they went forward with it.. Since I don't know how to make videos yet..I wouldn't be able to benefit from this option.;)+ [littlefranciscan]

Everyone can watch videos on YouTube. People can see first-hand accounts of current events, find videos about their hobbies and interests, and discover the quirky and unusual. As more people capture special moments on video, YouTube is empowering them to become the broadcasters of tomorrow.YouTube received funding from Sequoia Capital in November 2005 and was officially launched one month later in December. Chad hurley and Steve Chen proceeded to become the first members of the YouTube management team and currently serve as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer respectively. In November 2006, within a year of its launch, YouTube was purchased by Google Inc. in one of the most talked-about acquisitions to date.
